Interview of Vishal Pawle who is placed in Vijaya bank

While pursuing his BA in Political Science, Vishal started working in a manifacturing company. Later he learnt various programming languages and joined Techvision software division of Niwant Andh Mukta Vikasalaya. Finally, he is now placed in Vijaya bank and now has a secured employment!

Baya Karve awarded to Director of Niwant

Since 1996 the award called Baya Karve is given to women working in the social and education fields. In this year Niwant is honoured with this award.

Sex, Gynec and Dental education camp at Niwant

January 27th was a remarkable day for Niwant. Doctor Arun Ranade an eminent surgeon from Panvel, was very lucid in his presentation related to Sex Education. Mrs. Shailaja Ranade an eminent a Gynecologist focused on the problems and issues faced by young women and girls. Doctor Charuta Ranade a dentist by profession covered issues related to oral hygiene and dental problems.

Team Niwant's memorable trip to Goa

During 12-15 of November, a team of 21 people from Niwant, including the founders Ms. Meera Badve and Mr. Anand Badve made a trip to the one of the most beautiful places in India. The trip was sponsored by Goa's Social Welfare Ministry headed by Mr. Sudin Dhawlikar and renowned spinal surgeon Dr. PS Ramani.

State Level Blind Cricket Tournament, 2010

A day to remember for Niwant Andh Mukta Vikasalaya and Pune. Team Pune, comprising mostly of students from Niwant, won the State Level Blind Cricket Tournament - 2010 organized by The Blind Welfare Organization Nashik and sponsored by Salgaonkar Sports Club. Three day tournament (24-25 Dec'10) was played at Central Ground, Thane (Maharashtra)

Visit of Professor Paul Kim's from Stanford University

Last Monday, the 31st of January’2011, Niwant was visited by Professor Paul Kim, Assistant Dean and CTO, School of Education, Stanford University and Ms. Arafeh Karimi, student of Asian University - Malaysia. They were on a 3 weeks official tour of India researching on and promoting alternate sources of learning. They were accompanied by Professor Paul’s ex-colleague and friend of Niwant, Mrs. Anuradha Kulkarni.
